PCAT is the basic, Standardized entrance examination tool used to evaluate aptitude for entering into pharmacy colleges or universities education programs. Similar to all graduate school entrance tests this exam is also challenging and it is very necessary to understand the pre-requirements of this test and its components also before taking this test.
Instructions Regarding PCAT Registration Requirements:-
- For Applying to this test a candidate need to clear his/her under graduation degree from an accredited university or college. Mostly pharmacy colleges or universities need a candidate from science and biology course and the candidate need to complete his academics with good grades.
- Most pharmacy programs of accredited colleges and university needs undergraduate program completed in general and organic chemistry with confirmed lab time. Course work in general human biology, math and physics are also required. And humanities, social or civic studies are also required as electives subjects.
- PCAT break down, this exam itself consist 280 questions divided into 5 topics and one writing section. The topics covered in this entrance test are verbal ability, biology, quantitative ability, reading comprehension and chemistry. These papers are in multiple choice formats. In writing section there is essay writing.
- The date of this entrance test is administered thrice in a year at various locations nationwide. Mostly the centers of this exam are in United States and Canada. Testing dates of this paper mostly came every year in January, April and in October. The current entrance fees for this test is $35
